I ran Wednesday to make up for Tuesday's missed run. The run was a nice one along the canal out by Jeff's place. But then I got food poisoning or something on THursday and missed that run, then I sorta flaked for the weekend. So, that's okay.
Tonight I'm running my old Red Mountain loop. My goal is to run all the way to the base of Red Mountain -- about 3 miles, all a gradual uphill -- then hike the steep bit and walk home. It's a 5+ mile jaunt altogether. Eventually I'll run the whole thing.
It's my favorite workout, and is great for endurance, speed (the run up the steep section is like doing a 300' flight of stairs) and for strengthening ankles and stuff with the rough ground. Plus, it's just beautiful. :)
I'll write a post about it tonight when I get back from it.
